Sales & Shipping Policies

We truly appreciate your business and are committed to providing high-quality livestock and dry goods. With nearly two decades of experience, we’ve proudly shipped healthy fish to satisfied customers all across the USA. Our line of fish food is also receiving outstanding feedback, and we’re grateful for the continued support of our many returning customers. Your satisfaction is our top priority. Before completing your purchase, please take a moment to review our Sales & Shipping Policies to ensure a smooth and successful experience.

  • Orders must be cancelled within 2 hours of the original order. After that time, all sales are final. Cancelled orders are subject to a 20% fee to offset non-refundable service charges/fees.

  • With the exception of the above, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. We do not accept returns, refunds or exchanges in most situations.

  • Chris's Fishes website and other services/products are provided “as-is” without condition or warranty, unless otherwise stated.

  • We strive to keep up-to-date photos of our livestock and dry goods. However, the pictures are only a representative of the product/species you will receive, not the exact fish. Coloration will vary depending on the lighting, parameters, and tank setup. Size can vary but should fall within the parameters stated in the description. 

  • We do not guarantee the sex of any fish unless listed as such (e.g. “MALES ONLY”). Fish listed as "pairs" equates to 1 Male + 1 Female.  Fish listed as "trios" equates to 1 Male + 2 Females.

  • ​Buyer is responsible for observing all laws regarding animal importation for their home state and for acquiring any required permits for possession or importation prior to completing the transaction. Buyer is responsible for knowing their home state’s laws for importation of aquatic livestock, including lists of conditional, restricted, and prohibited species.

  • Please allow up to 7 days for order processing​​

  • ​​​​​​​​​We only ship live fish to destinations within the continental United States.

  • We will not ship live fish to PO Boxes, Military Addresses (APO, FPO, MPO, DPO), Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico or any country outside of the continental USA.

  • If you live outside of the continental USA and would like to purchase fish food, please contact us to get a quote on shipping charges prior to completing an online order.​

  • In most cases, fish will not be shipped in the same package as products. ​

  • If your dry goods arrive damaged, please contact us asap so we can assess if a claim can be submitted to the shipping carrier.

  • If your fish are DOA (Dead on Arrival), please refer to our Live Arrival Guarantee policy.​

  • All live fish are shipped via 2-day or overnight services. ​

  • If you choose 2-day delivery, but we feel the fish would benefit being shipped overnight due to the weather or any other circumstances, we will contact you with updated shipping costs for the overnight shipping, or we will give you the opportunity to cancel the order (with no associated fee to you).

  • Shipping stated as "Overnight" or "2-day" means the time in transit. Your order will not arrive the day after (or 2 days after) your purchase. Your order can take up to 7 days for processing.

  • During inclement weather, we may delay/postpone/reschedule the shipping date in the best interest of the fish.

  • We will not ship during any holiday weeks that impact transit times. 

  • All orders will be shipped to the address submitted during checkout. Please double-check your address for accuracy! Be sure to specify whether a ST, AVE, RD, etc., include suite/apartment#, if applicable, and check your spelling, and zip code.

  • We have no control of packages in transit once they leave our possession, nor can we tell you where your package is once it leaves our hands. Tracking information is provided to you; please use this information to contact the shipping carrier if needed. Reach out to us if further assistance is needed.

  • We assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, or misdirected items. ​

  • Please arrange to have someone home the day your fish are estimated to arrive. We don't want any livestock sitting unattended in extreme conditions, whether too hot or too cold.
